Executive Director, Adult Inpatient Services, Full-Time Days

Job Duties The Executive Director, Patient Care Services leads the operations, staff and programs of the adult inpatient areas, rehabilitation services, emergency services, women's, labor and delivery, mother baby, and patient advocacy..  Develops and introduces standards and guidelines for operations, programs and nursing in these areas to align with the care model.  Maintains working relationships with internal leaders/peers, physicians, and external agencies.  Ensures execution of priorities that optimize the managed care model including determining appropriate resource allocation across all areas in scope.  In alignment with the Chief Nursing Officer, is an advocate for nursing professional practice.       Oversight of the staff across all operational areas in scope to ensure maintenance of standards of patient care aligned to the care delivery.  Monitors patient/clinical outcomes and creates a plan of action to address needs or changes. 25%  Establishes and ensures adherence and execution of appropriate levels of care and ensures quality of nursing care.  Advises medical staff, department heads, and administrators in matters related to nursing services and makes recommendations to further align standards to the care model. 15%  Recommends revisions to policies related to the care model.  Interprets policies and objectives to staff, physicians, and others in the medical community to ensure understanding of methods and their application across all adult inpatient areas. 15%  Responsible for leading, developing and managing the performance of all direct reports.  Promote teamwork, collaboration and integration across areas all functions in scope.  Selects, orients, trains, develops and assigns work to staff.  Develops standards of performance, evaluates performance and conducts any necessary developmental actions for all direct reports. 15%  Develop and improve upon methods to communicate adult inpatient care model approaches and protocols.  Ensure that communication is aligned across all areas  in scope and   educate leaders, and employees on the delivery of patient care. 15%  Maintain strategic focus on building strong relationships with key leadership and peers in the medical community to ensure the effective implementation of all Adult Inpatient Services. 15%  Monitor compliance with state and other governing bodies, including JCAHO, IDPH, DNV, and any other regulatory agencies.  Oversee the preparation of information needed to assure compliance. 5%     QUALIFICATIONS   Education:   Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and Master's Degree in Nursing, Health Administration, or MBArequired.  Experience and Training:   A minimum of 8 years of experience in the nursing field including responsibility for managing multiple, large patient care areas and prior management responsibility of multiple, large nursing units. Knowledge: Lean methodology experiencerequired. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with audiences across organizational levels required. Program management and deployment experiencepreferred. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
