Help Desk Technician

The Help Desk Technician will provide ITtechnical assistance and support to Fuchs associates both locally and remotely. Responsibilities includetroubleshooting, diagnosing, documenting and resolving problems related to systems, hardware and software.

  • Provide technical assistance and support for issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware onsite and remotely.
  • Utilize and maintain the helpdesk tracking software.
  • Receive, validate, and log client requests. Capture detail of the request and provide first line support.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve trouble tickets related to technical difficulties with hardware and software.
  • Escalate problems and issues to the appropriate level for problem resolution.
  • Configure and install computers and peripherals for users.
  • Create accounts and configure hardware as part of on-boarding process.
  • Support audio and video equipment in conference rooms.
  • Assist with maintaining the inventory of all equipment, software and licensing.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure swift resolution of issues. Ensure that the user is kept up to dateon the progress in relation to resolution of the issue.
  • Maintain a high level of client satisfaction through communicating plan, progress, and issues in a timely manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related degree required.
  • 0-2 years of helpdesk and desktop level technical support experience.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office application skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills.
  • Microsoft or Technical Certifications (A+) are a plus.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
